A traffic policeman who came to take action against vehicles parked on the road was beaten up on the Juhu-Versova Link Road. A case has been registered against three people in Versova police station in this regard. Complainant Ajay Korlekar (56) is working in DN Nagar Transport Department.
A complaint was received at the control room of the Mumbai Police regarding parking of vehicles on the Juhu-Versova road. At that time Korlekar and his colleagues reached there. When he started taking pictures of the parked cars there, three persons came there and started arguing with Korlekar. One of them hit Korlekar below the ear.
When he went to catch him, the two persons who were with him grabbed Korlekar's hands and the accused ran away. After that, the accomplices of the accused also fled. After this incident, Korlekar lodged a complaint with the Versova police. According to this, the Versova police have registered a case against the three on Saturday for obstructing government work.
