According to the latest reports, on Wednesday, January 19, a two-year-old boy succumbed at an unregistered in eastern Mumbai's Govandi, after a sweeper allegedly gave him an injection meant for another. It has been reported that the Shivajinagar police are attempting to trace the sweeper (17), who is claimed to have helped the nurses out sometimes. 

Based on accounts, the police have booked Dr Altaf Khan (29) and the owner of the nursing home Nasimuddin Sayyed (63) on the charge of death by negligence. It has been remarked in narratives that the incident transpired on Wednesday evening at Noor Hospital. 

The two-year-old was named Taha Azeem Khan and his father informed the police that his son was admitted to the hospital three days ago because the child had gastro issues, claimed reports. There are claims that while the child was about to be discharged on Wednesday, the sweeper and nurse were arguing about an injection. 

It has been alleged that the sweeper took the jab and gave it to the toddler which was however meant for the patient next to the child. Reports claim that within minutes the baby became critical and died, while Taha was taken to another hospital, he was declared brought dead. 

The police are believed to have arrested the nurse and are on the lookout for the doctors.
