On Thursday, January 6, Delhi Police stated that they had arrested the main conspirator in the Bulli Bai App case wherein women of a certain community were put up on an “online” auction from Assam, stated reports.

News agency ANI, quoted, DCP(IFSO) KPS Malhotra, “Neeraj Bishnoi, main Bulli Bai case conspirator, will be presented in Delhi Court tonight. He has confessed, but most importantly, we've acquired technical evidence required from his laptop and mobile. Whole network has been busted”.

According to reports, Neeraj Bishnoi is believed to be the main conspirator and creator of 'Bulli Bai' on GitHub. Apart from this, he is claimed to be the main Twitter account holder of the app. Bishnoi was brought to Delhi from Assam by Delhi Police Special Cell.

Earlier, three arrests were made by the Mumbai Police’s cyber cell. Those arrested by them include engineering student Vishal Kumar Jha, Shweta Singh (19) and Mayank Rawal (21), stated reports. Based on accounts, the Mumbai Police stated that Singh was the mastermind in the case.

On Wednesday, January 5, Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale mentioned that while three people have been arrested in the Bulli Bai App case more arrests could rise. During his interaction with reports, he remarked that two of those arrested are from Uttrakhand and the police are also investigating if there is a conspiracy in the case.
