Mumbai- Duo divers Bipin Dahal and Ganshyam Patidhar, who went adrift on Saturday night during an attempt to rescue three missing fishermen from the fishing boat Dutta Sai, were rescued on Sunday morning. The fishing boat due to bad weather suffered damage & sank about 30 nautical miles from Mumbai. Despite the heavy swell of over 3 meters and adverse weather conditions, divers volunteered to rescue the fishermen by the procedure called recovery by free swimmers. Vice Admiral Girish Luthra visited two naval divers and complimented them for their bravery in keeping with the finest traditions of the Navy of protecting our nation and countrymen, risking their own lives in extreme weather conditions to rescue the fishermen.
