The special cell of Delhi police arrested Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi’s nephew Abu Aslam Kasim Azmi from a 5-star hotel with regards to international drugs smuggling. The Delhi police have seized Rs. 40 crores worth 5 kgs Ice drugs from a gang which was led by Abu Aslam Kasim (43).

The Delhi police got a tip that a Dubai-based drug smuggling gang is being led by a Mumbai-based leader. This gang used to provide drugs to parties and rave parties taking place at Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh. Not only India, but they also used to sell drugs to international countries such as France, Germany, UK, UAE, Spain and US. The Delhi police got an information that the gang was planning to sell off drugs outside India and had kept the drugs at Mahilapur’s Prefer Logistic Pvt Ltd. 

The Delhi police then laid the trap and arrested 26 years old Avdhesh Kumar and seized Rs. 40 crores worth 5 kgs Ice party drugs. Along with him, they took 31 years old Chandan Rai and 40 years old worker Amit Kumar Agrawal into custody. During the investigation, they got to know about the leader of the gang who was none other than Abu Azmi's nephew, 40 years old Abu Aslam Kasim Azim. After zeroing in the location, the Delhi police took the help of Vakola police and put Azmi behind the bars. However, they could not arrest another leader of the gang Kailash Rajput who resides in Dubai and is on run.
