The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Anmol Bishnoi, brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, and his close associate on Wednesday. He was brought to India from the US at night. He had been absconding since 2022.
Anmol Bishnoi is the 19th accused arrested from the gang of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol actively assisted terrorists Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi in various terrorist activities in the country during the period 2020-2023. The National Investigation Agency had filed a chargesheet against him in March 2023.
Anmol Bishnoi, who was living in the US, was actively running a gang with other associates. From there, he was carrying out terrorist activities in the country. He was providing accommodation and other facilities to the gangsters and other associates of the gang. He was also extorting extortion money in India with the help of other criminals from abroad.
Anmol has 32 cases registered against him across the country, with the highest number of cases registered in Rajasthan. These include serious crimes like extortion, kidnapping, and abetment to murder. Bishnoi is an accused in crimes in most states of the country and everyone is trying to get his custody for investigation.

Anmol Bishnoi was the main accused in the shooting at actor Salman Khan's house and the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. Security agencies were on his trail. The Mumbai Crime Branch has informed the central agencies that they should take control of both these crimes. Bringing Anmol back home will help the police solve many important crimes.
