Mumbai crime branch’s cyber cell arrested a man on the charge that he issued a threatening message to Maharashtra cabinet minister, Aaditya Thackeray, reported news agency ANI. Jaisingh Rajput, the man arrested, alleges to be a fan of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. 

Based on accounts, Jaisingh called Thackeray on December 8 and after the minister didn’t receive the call, he left him a message. The said arrest has been made from Bengaluru.

To this incident, Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik commented that the way in which Thackeray attainted a threat letter they suspect whether it is connected to the organizations that killed Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare, reported ANI.

Malik claims to have also received similar threats, therefore, they have written for an investigation into the same. He was quoted by the ANI stating, “I think it is a serious matter, after losing power, some organisations are behaving in this manner. Home Department will probe it and find out who is behind it. They will be nabbed and punished”.

The Bollywood actor’s death is being probed by the CBI. The actor was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his residence on June 14, 2020, in Bandra. Whilst there haven’t been any developments in the case yet, the central agency has made statements that the investigation isn’t complete.
