Police arrest two burglars from UP who burglarized houses in Dombivali

In Dombivli, thieves broke into a well-known doctor's closed house, broke the window grills and stole jewellery. This incident happened a few months ago. However, this was one of the many incidents that were reported in Dombivli. The method of stealing was the same where thieves used to break into the house by breaking the grill. 

A team of police officers Sampat Fadol and Rahul Mhaske under the guidance of Dombivli ACP Sunil Kurhade and Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kadbane started searching for the thieves who were on the run. After a thorough search, both the thieves were arrested.


Police action in Uttar Pradesh

When the police took all the information and started the investigation, it was learned that these two burglars were living in a village of Siddharthnagar in Uttar Pradesh. Two police teams of Manpada police station reached Uttar Pradesh. A police team with the help of the local police raided a house around 1 am after receiving the information.

Rajesh Kahar was arrested from that house. According to the information provided by Rajesh, the police then raided Chintu's house within an hour. The looted jewellery was recovered from both the houses. Police learned that both the thieves have built luxurious houses in the village.

24 crimes were solved

Police have seized cash worth INR 23 lakh from both Rajesh Kahar and Chintu. Police have succeeded in solving 24 crimes involving them. The police have started further investigation into the matter. It is likely that some more crimes will be revealed by these two in the investigation. Both of them have burglarized in Thane, Navi Mumbai and Dombivli, revealed investigation.


“A case of burglary was registered in Manpada police station. We were investigating it thoroughly. We have arrested the accused from outside the state. Bablu Kahar is a house burglar who has 13 cases registered against him. Another criminal, Chintu, is also booked in seven cases of burglary. Both of them used to do burglaries at night keeping an eye on the houses. We were able to recover 325 grams of gold and 7 grams of silver worth more than 22 lakhs”, Dombivli Superintendent of Police Sunil Kurhade said.
