Mumbai has emerged as the worst-affected area in Maharashtra, the state with the most number of cases in the country. As of April 25, Maharashtra had recorded 7,118 cases of coronavirus with 4,447 cases being registered from Mumbai.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Mumbai Police officials have been patrolling the streets in the city to ensure that lockdown regulations are not flouted. However, being on the front line of the fight against the pandemic puts the police personnel at risk.
