Sunil Kulkarni, a culprit who allegedly forced two sisters into prostitution and drug racket, was arrested here on Thursday and presented before the court. The police informed the court that they have seized a pen drive from Kulkarni which was containing several blue films.

A couple from Malad had alleged that their daughters had fallen prey to the tactics of Kulkarni and left their home. They had also alleged that Kulkarni drags innocent girls in sex and drug racket in the name of the ‘Shifu Culture’. When the matter came before the court, it had expressed surprise over the developments and had directed the police to immediately register a case.

Meanwhile, both these girls are 18-year-old and they have refuted the allegations claiming in their statement to police that they left their home due to harassment by family members.

What is Shifu Culture?

There are pages about Shifu Culture on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Most of the information on these pages is about sex. The accused, Sunil Kulkarni, manages these pages claiming himself to be a psychologist. Police informed that Kulkarni possesses no such degree and there are many cases of sexual abuse registered against him.

Malad police have registered a case in this connection and Crime Branch is investigating further, informed Mumbai Police spokesperson Ashok Dudhe.
Police have also informed some more victim girls have come forward after the arrest of Kulkarni.
