A 35-year-old woman in order to commit suicide went on the tracks of Nalasopara railway station. Alert RPF officers rescued the woman from attempting suicide. RPF officer Naresh Kumar and Woman Constable Priyanka Mane were patrolling at platform 1 on Wednesday at 6.30 am. The duo saw Sama Ban Dahood Sheikh on the tracks. 

Sama Ban is a resident of the fish market near Madrasi gully located in Meghwadi Jogeshwari (East). During the investigation, it was found that family issues were the reason behind her act. The woman gave his brother Mohammad Zubair Sheikh’s contact number. The brother reached the station and identified his sister. The brother told the officers that Sama is mentally challenged and she has attempted suicide before.
