Mumbai – The person who had threatened Shiv Sena spokesperson Neelam Gorhe has been arrested by Mumbai police and a local court sent him to police custody till March 4. During an investigation, it also came to fore that the accused identified as Deepak Kumar Gupta had earlier threatened NCP MLC Vidya Chavhan, BJP MLA Manda Mhatre and MLA Anil Gote. Deepak Kumar is an RTI activist from Jalgaon and enjoy a terrorizing clout there.

Sena leader Neelam Gorhe had received a call on her mobile phone from an unknown number. The accused used abusive language against Gorhe and threatened to kill her and enrage her modesty. Soon after this, the Sena leader had registered a complaint in Mumbai as well as in Pune. The similar kind of complaint was registered by NCP leader Vidya Chavhan in Vile Parle police station. While investigating Chavhan’s case, police found about Deepak Kumar. He was arrested from Jalgaon and police seized a mobile handset and seven sim cards from him. Deepak Kumar used to use these sim cards to issue threats to the leaders.
