A demand has been made in the High Court to make actor Shah Rukh Khan also an accused in the case filed by the CBI in connection with the demand of bribe for Aryan Khan's release from the drug case. The petitioners have made this demand claiming that Shah Rukh had paid a bribe.

Under the Prevention of Corruption Act, the bribe-taker is guilty as well as the bribe-giver. According to the case filed by the CBI, Wankhede accepted the bribe money from Shah Rukh Khan through an independent witness K. P. Gosavi.

The CBI has also alleged that Shah Rukh paid the bribe without informing the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Therefore, according to the law, the lawyer Rashid Khan has requested the High Court to order that Shah Rukh should also be accused in this case. The petition has also demanded Shah Rukh undergo narco, lie detector test along with brain mapping.

Aryan Khan was arrested by Wankhede's team in connection with the drug party on Cordelia Cruz. However, while granting bail to Aryan, the High Court kept its finger on the NCB's investigation. After that many questions were raised regarding the action against Wankhede. The NCB formed a special inquiry committee to probe the allegations of Wankhede taking a bribe from Shah Rukh. In the background of the report submitted by this committee, the CBI had registered a case against Wankhede in the bribery case. The High Court has granted interim relief to Wankhede from arrest in this case.
