Say 'no' to superstition

Dadar- Superstition is spreading its wings across Maharashtra and is becoming worrisome day by day. Despite late Narendra Dabholkar’s efforts to eradicate superstition, people still believe in it. One of the followers of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is an ardent follower of late Dabholkar and is also a part of Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti since four years. He took an opportunity of spreading awareness regarding superstition at Shivaji Park. “Every year I come to Dadar’s Chaitya Bhoomi to seek blessings of Dr. Babasaehb Ambedkar. This year I thought of doing something different. I bought all the things which are used by quacks to lure people and loot them. I showcased few quick experiments which people believe in blindly be it catching a ghost or by igniting fire by using chemicals. I also spoke to people about not going to quacks if the woman is not conceiving as the former physically harasses the women. Anti-superstition is a need of the hour and it should be eliminated,” said Sachin Hindlekar, Mumbai president, Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti.
