Charkop- The Mumbai excise department has arrested Bharat Veerji Patel and seized alcohol bottles valued at Rs 4,24,000. In a raid on 12 November 2016 in Charkop’s Sai Siddhi building, the department discovered 70 bottles with Indian and branded liquor amongst which 20 branded bottles were empty. Excise officials say Patel would re-seal bottles after filling them with locally brewed alcohol. “When his customers questioned him, he used to lie to them, saying he sourced the bottles from Mumbai airport," said investigating officer Vaibhav Vaidya. The department is now on the lookout for the mastermind behind the racket.
