Three months ago, Uday Samant took charge as Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) President, and now he is being threatened, alleged Samant. He wrote about the same to DCP , requesting him to provide police security. He wrote that the state would be responsible if something happens to him. 

Samant is a Shiv Sena MLA from Ratnagiri and was appointed as MHADA President three months ago.

Samant claimed that as he has been taking action against builders who dupe people, MHADA’s image has drastically improved. But, on the other hand, he has started receiving threat calls.

When Mumbai Live spoke to Manjunath Shinge, Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP), Operations, he said he has not received any such letter. He said that he will take necessary action once he receives the letter. Meanwhile, Mumbai Live tried contacting Uday Samant but he was unavailable for a comment.
