Is state board sporting lackadaisical attitude?

A video has gone viral where a professor is seen checking board papers at Vile Parle’s restaurant. The video was published by Yuva Sena who claims that on one hand, a set of board papers went missing from Dahisar’s school and on another hand, a professor was seen checking the board papers out in open.

Yuva Sena has written to Maharashtra Board about the same. “In the video, we can clearly see a professor checking board paper. However, we couldn’t see which papers he was checking. We have asked authorities concerned of the board to probe into the matter,” said Nilima Bhurke, Senate member, Yuva Sena. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Board’s president Dattatray Jagtap said, “Yuva Sena has not provided enough proofs and so until we get proper proof, we will not take any action”.

“In the video, we can't make out which papers he is checking. If it is 10 or 12 exam papers then it is not allowed to check in public places. Also, barcodes are used by private as well as Maharashtra board. So we cannot be sure the papers he was checking was of private class or state board. And so the video cannot be the only proof,” said Dr Jaydeep Nikam, director, School of Health Science, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.
