The state government has decided to cut down on this menace. GPS devices will be installed on vehicles transporting liquor. Most of the smuggling happens from Goa, Diu and Daman. Spurious liquor is also entering the city through these routes.State excise minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule set up a committee under the president of Excise duty commissioner and soon the scheme will be implemented.To stop the liquor smuggling, state excise department has given its whatsapp number 8422001133.
