Rhea Chakraborty judicial custody extended until October 6

NCB arrested Showik, Rhea and others with regards to the involvement in the drugs case linked with Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The actress was questioned for over three days from September 6, and arrested on September 8.

Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty, who have been arrested in the drug charges linking with Sushant Singh Rajput death case, have been remanded in judicial custody. The two were arrested by the NCB, and the court rejected their bail plea and extended their custody till October 6.

NCB arrested Showik, Rhea and others with regards to the involvement in the drugs case. She was questioned for over three days from September 6, and arrested on September 8. As per reports, she and others may face improsonment for 10 years, if found guilty.

The brother-sister duo has been charged under the sections of the NDPS act and their statements were recorded regarding the matter. They filed for bail applications at the Bombay High Court, and the decision will be taken tomorrow, on September 23, 2020. 

So far, more than 18 people have been arrested by the NCB, which also includes Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant, KAzan Ibrahim, Zaid Vilatra and many others, who were involved in the across Mumbai and Goa. Names of several A-list Bollywood actors have also come to the forefront, and the NCB has made a note of the same.

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his apartment in Mumbai, on June 14, 2020. Earlier investigations reported suicide as the cause of death, however, a series of events later, the matter of handed over to CBI for investigation. Basis this, Rhea has been the main accused in the case.
