Spot the irony in the title! We know what a farce ‘Tantriks’ are (well, most of us) but people still go ahead and believe that their fate is in the tantrik’s hands. Recently, Mira Road Police arrested two such self-proclaimed “godmen” and recovered INR 2,80,000.
A lady met this man and told him that she had no control over her expenses and she’s unable to build on her savings (story of everyone’s life?) Now, this man advised her to meet a couple of tantriks who would help her out. So these tantriks invite her to their place and ask to keep jewellery worth INR 7,75,000 on the floor in the name of puja. Wait, there’s more!

After some time, they collected the jewellery and told the lady that they have to go to the graveyard for further rituals but she wasn’t allowed to go. Now these guys left and the lady waited there for them to come back but surprisingly, they never did. The lady realised she’d been scammed.

Later she went to the police and somehow, they arrested the people who control the common man’s fate and with ‘puja-paath’
Can we become a little more enlightened? Just a little. Let’s try and not be fooled by these self-proclaimed “God Men”.
