In a recent operation, a bomb-blast planned by a group of terrorists was foiled by the Indian agencies, and reports reveal that the matters regarding this incident is connected with many states. A recent investigation by Mumbai's Anti-terrorism Sqyuad led them to one more accused who was arrested for being involved in plotting the bomb blasts. Reports state that the team arrested him from Thane's Mumbra area. 

The accused has been identified as Imran alias Munna Bhai, and the team, in a previous raid had arrested Zakir Hussain Sheikh. The name of this suspect came to light during Zakir's interrogation, post which the ATS planned a raid in Mumbra area. It is being said that once the intelligence agencies alert the officials regarding the matter, the authorities have to take careful steps as terrorists can try to use the gas attack in the train and affect the passengers at the stations. Post this alert, the GRP were increased across all major railway stations in the cit. Besides this, several entry and exit points of the stations were also closed for security purposes. Officials state that the accused Imran aka Munna Bhai might ask for a remand.

A total of six suspects were arrested by the officials, of which one was said to be from Mumbai. Post this, a joint team of Maharashtra ATS and the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police began the investigation to arrest the suspected terrorist, Zakir, and soon caught hold of him in Mumbai's Jogeshwari area.

The plan was to attack the city during the festivities thereby spread panic, and according to the information received, Zakir had taken weapons and explosives from the first arrested terrorist Mohammad Sheikh alias Sameer Kalia. After interrogating the terrorist, the team of Mumbai and Delhi ATS continuously conducted raids with an aim to catch other suspected terrorists.
