Suspecting that she was laughing at them, three women beat up a young woman and killed her by hitting her head on the ground. The name of the dead woman is Mukta Kalshe (22). A case has been registered against Renuka Bondre, Anjana Raipure and Lakshmi in Kalwa police station in this regard.


Mukta Kalshe lived with her mother and brother Sachin in Jai Bhim Nagar area of Kalwa. A few years ago, accused Renuka was married to Mukta's brother Rahul. But Rahul died two years ago. So Renuka married another man from the same locality. So Mukta's family had no contact with Renuka. Mukta's married sister had come to Mukta's house on the occasion of Diwali. So both Mukta and her sister had gone out to eat pani puri on November 23. While they were chatting, Renuka passed by and she suspected that both of them were laughing at her and were making remarks about her. Accused Renuka then abused Mukta and confronted her.

Mukta tried to explain to her and also apologised. However, Renuka threatened to kill her. On Saturday morning, when Mukta went to the public toilet, Renuka and her sisters Anjana, Lakshmi came there. They started beating Mukta mercilessly. When Mukta's mother received information about this, she immediately rushed there. She was begging them not to beat her. But the women continued to beat Mukta. Lakshmi then grabbed Mukta's hair and hit her head on the ground. After that she also beat Mukta's mother. When Mukta was seriously injured, her mother contacted the police. Also lodged a complaint at Kalwa police station. Mukta was admitted to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa. During the course of treatment, her condition worsened and she passed away. A case of murder has been registered in this case.
