Following the Sachin Waze case, the authorities from the government decided to internally transfer some officers and the process for the same began in the Mumbai Police Force. Earlier, a total of 65 crime branch officers were transferred by Commissioner of Police Hemant Nagarale, post which 13 officers of the Economic Crimes Branch were transferred on Monday, April 11, 2021.

The transferred officers had been working in the Financial Crimes Branch for more than five years. Furthermore, the order issued by the administrative department of the police force mentions that the establishment board at the commissioner level has transferred these officers under exceptional circumstances and in view of administrative urgency keeping the law and order in mind.

The list of officers includes Sub-Inspectors of Police who have been working in the Crime Branch for 8 to 10 years or more and Assistant Inspectors of Police and Inspectors of Police who have been working for 5 years.

So far, 65 officers of the crime branch, 21 officers of the local police station and 13 officers from the Economic Crimes Branch  have been transferred. The names include Police Inspector Dilip Deshmukh (Special Branch), Jitendra Misal (Patron and Security), Vinod Bhalerao (Special Branch), Baliram Dhas (Traffic), Kundlik Gadhve (Defense and Security), Kiran Jadhav (Cyber Police Thane, South Regional Division), Assistant Inspector Chandrasekhar Gaikwad (Transport), Vikrant Shirsath (MHB Colony Police Thane), Sandeep Badgujar (Wadala TT), Deepak Kadam (Mankhurd), Praveen Phanse (Bhandup), Mahesh Tambe (Pantnagar), and Dhananjay Devdikar (Shivajinagar).
