Andheri, Mumbai -
Even as the police have commenced the investigation into allegations of sexual harassment by an ex-employee of The Viral Fever (TVF) against founder Arunabh Kumar, we learn that Arunabh Kumar has not yet been called by the police to record his statement.
The issue came into the spotlight when an anonymous blog on social media by a former employee of the company alleged molestation by Arunabh Kumar and the post went viral. After this, more than 50 women complained about the same instance.
Arunabh Kumar has denied the allegation and said that the woman who had complained about molestation has never worked with TVF. Further, he said that a committee has been set up for the TVF members and members from outside for the investigation of the same.
Viral Fever of TVF is an online entertainment channel founded by Arunabh Kumar in 2011. So far, the younger generation considered Kumar as a role model, but since the incident, his image has suffered a setback.
Meanwhile, former actor and columnist Twinkle Khanna's comments on the issue yesterday have added fuel to he fire. In her column in a daily, Khanna has written...
"Twinkle further called the molesters at workplace as "the Frogs Forever Franchise" and advised them to take a chance at bars, clubs, Tinder and some wedding of their relative but keep their hands off the women at their office. She adds that in case they cannot stop feeling a certain way for the women at their workplace, then, "respectfully ask her out for a drink, and if she refuses your polite offer then go and drown your sorrows in that very drink and leave her alone. Do not stalk her, touch her, send her lewd messages and emails. And as far as compliments go, try telling her about her great presentation skills, her way with numbers, her astute negotiations. Telling a woman she is sexy in the bedroom is fine, telling her the same thing in the boardroom is simply deplorable. So think before you croak or it may just be your turn to be doused in formaldehyde and dissected next.”
