Mumbai Police seize drugs worth ₹1.45 crore

The police were tipped-off about Salim Khan from whom 1 kilogram of drugs have been recovered and two people have been arrested in the case

Two people in possession of drugs worth ₹1.45 crore were arrested by the Mumbai Police on Monday. The police were tipped-off about Salim Khan (60) from whom, 1 kilogram of drugs were recovered.

Another 6.9 kilograms of drugs were found at Khan’s house located in a slum in Bandra. During interrogation, Khan told the police about Nurul Huda, from whom 2.1 kilograms of MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine) was seized. MDMA is commonly known as "ecstasy".

According to the officials, the gross value of the drugs recovered has been estimated at ₹1.45 crore. A case has been registered against the two accused and further investigation is in progress.
