Mumbai police, on Tuesday, December 1, arrested two accused with regards to demanding ransom in the name of Shiv Sena leader Nitin Nandgaonkar. As per reports, they reached out to people stating that the call was from Nitin Nandgaonkar's office, and collected a sum of INR 1.5 lakh from the plaintiff by offering help.

Upon knowing the same, the police planned a strict action and both the accused were arrested from Mumbai and Satara.

It is said that the builder had taken lakhs of rupees from the plaintiff with a promise of giving him the possession of the house, however, the same did not happen despite many days. Neither was the house given, not the money and hence the plaintiff decided to seek help from Nitin Nandgaonkar.

However, as the Facebook page is public, the two accused decided to take advantage of it, and called the plaintiff and said that he was speaking from Nitin Nandgaonkar's office. They offered to help him receive the money from the builder but with the condition that they would be paid the share which came up to INR 1.5 lakh.
