Superintendent of Byculla Jail, Chandramani Indulkar and acting superintendent Tanaji Gharbudwe will be suspended in the Majula Shetye suspicious death case according to Minister of State (home), Ranjit Patil.

Leader of the opposition, Dhananjay Munde, highlighted the corruption in Byculla jail in Mumbai and addressed the Manjula Shetye case. Ranjit Patil responded to him with the suspension news.
The inquiry which has been initiated against Swati Sathe will be completed within seven days and action will be initiated against her for influencing the investigations initially," Ranjit Patil.
However, the opposition in the legislative council were demanding that Sathe be suspended.
A legislative committee will be formed to make sure such a situation doesn’t arise again
