A 30-year-old unemployed man killed his cousin and dumped his body in a Mumbai-bound train toilet.
The brutal crime came to light after a cleaning staff member entered the toilet of the express train going to Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) around 1 am. He raised an alarm among the officials, prompting an immediate investigation. The police reached the spot and found the body in a garbage bin kept inside the toilet.
It was the Kushinagar Express (22537) train, which runs daily between Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh and the LTT, where the body was found three days ago.
The police tracked down the accused, Vikaskumar Shah (30), who confessed to the crime, explaining that he was fed up with his aunt’s nagging about his joblessness. He said he carried out the murder out of the grudge with her aunt because she used to constantly taunt him about finding some work as he was jobless, a release issued by the Surat police said.
