Bengaluru police, on Thursday, October 15, raided Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi's residence in Mumbai. As per reports, these raids were being conducted for the case involving his brother-in-law. It is said that Alva was being accused in a drug racket.

Confirming the same, Bengaluru's Joint Commissioner of Police, Sandeep Patil, released a statement with the media which said that Alva has been absconding from the narcotics case which was registered at the Cottonpet police station. Officials were informed about his presence here in Mumbai, at Vivek Oberoi residence as he is related to him.

Keeping this in mind, the court had issued a warrant and the Central Crime Branch team took necessary action by visiting Oberoi's residence in Mumbai. Officials state that the actor might know about Alva's whereabouts and conducting the raid would help them in this matter.

However, reports state that Vivek was not aware of the same, and did not disclose the information received during the raid. Aditya Alva is the son of former minister Jeevaraj Alva.

Sources also state that he has been absconding for the last one month after the police launched a campaign against the narcotics dealers.
