For scratch on car, man was beaten to death

Shahu Nagar Police has arrested an accused Ansar Mustafa Syyed Ali alias Johnny Babu (40) on Sunday in the murder case that took place opposite Gausia Mosque in Dharavi on 19 March. Ansar will be presented in the court on Monday.

Rafiq Sheikh was beaten badly and was rushed to Sion hospital, his only fault was that he accidentally scratched the car. After two days he succumbed to death. Police have arrested Ansari’s wife Khatija Ali (36), his two sons Syed Mohammad Arif Mustafa (20) and Syed Saif Ali Mustafa (21). Ansari Mustafa is absconding and police are searching for him.

On Saturday, police received information according to which Mustafa was planning to leave the city. He was about to catch a train towards Varanasi from LTT Terminus. Police formed a team and nabbed him from LTT terminus.
