A veiled woman entered a house in Malad and tried to rob a 91-year-old woman by throwing chilli powder in her eyes. After the old lady screamed for help, the accused woman ran away from there. A case has been registered against an unknown woman in Malvani police station in this regard. 


Complainant Ayesha Shaikh (91) lives in MHB Colony area of Malvani. She was alone at home on Sunday. Suddenly a veiled woman entered her house. She threw chilli powder in the eyes and mouth of the victim. The latter got confused by the sudden attack.

The accused woman tried to pull the gold chain from Sheikh's neck. Meanwhile, Sheikh hit the accused woman with a glass. Sheikh also shouted for help which made the accused flee the spot. Hearing the screams, the nearby neighbours came running.


Malvani police have registered a case on Sheikh's complaint and search is on for the accused woman.
