A 26-year-old laborer associated with the Allied Union in Goregaon Film City died on Monday after drowning in the pond. The whole incident stirred utter commotion in the whole of the Film City.
Senior Police Inspector of Aarey Police Station reported that a group of 5 friends had gone for a day out Aarey Film City's pond. Two of them went inside the pond, trying to swim, however, Raheesh Nashir Khan, aged 26, while doing the same age ended up drowning.
On the other hand, the Film City security officer Sawant says that Raheesh used to work for the Allied Labourers Union Agency of Film City, however, 3 out of 4 people that had accompanied him did not have Film City’s card with them.
As per the police, Raheesh did not know how to swim which caused his death. Further, the Aarey police have filed a case of Accidental Death, and have sent the body to Siddhartha Hospital for postmortem.
