A young man attacked his 24-year-old girlfriend with a knife and later committed suicide in Kalachowki area around 11 am on Friday. The incident, which took place during a busy day, created a stir in the Kalachowki area. The name of the youth who died in the incident is Sonu Barai.
The two were walking on Dattaram Lad Marg in Kalachowki. They got into a verbal argument. Suddenly, the young man took out a knife from his pocket and attacked the young woman. The young woman went to the nearby Aastha Nursing Home to save her life. Sonu followed her and stabbed her. After that, he stabbed himself.
Two people were seriously injured in the attack. They were admitted to KEM Hospital for treatment. However, Sonu, who was seriously injured, died. The girl's condition is critical and she is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
The two were in a romantic relationship. However, their relationship had broken off a few days ago. The police have expressed initial suspicion that the youth, enraged by this, carried out the attack.
