Youth commits suicide in Goregaon, jumps from 45th floor

A 22-year-old man living in Goregaon committed suicide by jumping from the 45th floor of his residential building. The name of this young man is Anant Dwivedi. He was studying in his final year of engineering in Germany. He had recently come to Mumbai. The reason for his suicide is not yet known.

Anant Dwivedi (22), the son of a construction worker from Andheri, was studying in Germany. He was currently in his final year of engineering. He had recently come to Mumbai. On Tuesday morning, he arrived near the Oberoi E Square building by rickshaw. Not having any spare money, he stopped the rickshaw driver near the entrance and told him that he would bring the spare money in 5 minutes. But after a long time, he did not come. Within a short time, he committed suicide by jumping from the 45th floor of the building. The police recovered his Google Pixel smartphone from the scene, but he had not written any suicide note.

He was scheduled to fly to Germany on a 9:30 flight on Monday night. His family said goodbye to him at the airport.  He then called his family and told them that he had boarded the plane. However, instead of boarding the plane, he had come to Goregaon by rickshaw on Tuesday morning, police said.

The Dwivedi family has a flat in this building. They come to live in this building occasionally. That is why he had come to this building. We are investigating why he committed suicide. A case of unnatural death has been registered in this case, informed Ravindra Patil, Senior Police Inspector of Aarey Police Station.
