Megahertz is a two-day annual inter-collegiate fest organized by the BMM department of K.J. Somaiya College. The theme for this year was ‘Age Of Millenials’. The fest received a footfall of hundreds of students from over 30 colleges in Mumbai who took part in various innovative events in performing arts, literary arts and a variety of other categories.

The inauguration ceremony started soon after in the Kalidas Hall which was already tightly packed with an enthusiastic audience of students from several participant colleges in Mumbai, eagerly awaiting the actor.

The ceremony kick-started with a power-packed dance performance by the performing arts team of Megahertz. Shreyas also joined the stage with the dancers and showed his moves. The actor then delivered an inspirational speech and also answered some questions posed by the audience. He talked about his own college days and his career. Shreyas also cracked a few jokes and his signature dialogues from Golmaal 4 which lifted the atmosphere in the hall and thrilled the audience.

“I so miss my college gang!” Shreyas told Mumbai Live. “We were a gang of 50-60. We used to be a part of the dramatics club of our college. How I wish I could go back at least for a day or two to live through the same madness again”, said Shreyas reminiscently.

Shreyas shared his experience of being the chief guest of Megahertz 2017, “I loved being a part of Megahertz! I’ve never witnessed this amount of enthusiasm in my own college ever. I’m totally awestruck by the vibe going around here. When you attend fest like these, you take back home a positive energy. There are so many ideas they’ve come up with which is commendable. I wish them all the luck,” he said with a warm smile.
