Vicky Kaushal’s film Uri had one character which played an important role in the surgical strike and it was the student named Ishaan who designed the bird, which helped Vicky and the team succeed in their mission. Played by Akashdeep Arora, this role did add value to the film, and the talented lad is currently seen in the Eros Now’s 'Quickie' series Tum Se Na Ho Paayega.

The actor who plays the lead role in the series believes that the year has begun on a high note, and with the digital space offering the best, opportunities are knocking his doors for more.

Talking about his role in Tumse Na Ho Paayega, he said, “It was an amazing experience. The team members were all very supportive and the director Karl Kategara acted as a guide throughout the show to bring out the best in me.”

The actor has perused Mass Communication from Noida and since the beginning of his career has shown interest in the short form content, widely popular in the digital space. His first on-set experience was on the sets of Titli (2013) where we worked behind the camera and there grew his desire in acting. He also explored content creation by making short format video with Filtercopy and simultaneously auditioning for roles.

Sharing his thought on the interest in the digital space, he added, “When I was young, I had no option but to watch the daily soaps on TV with my mother but now because of these digital platforms, people have choices and can watch whatever they are interested in. Digital platforms give diverse options to the culturally diverse audience of India. These platforms have also helped young actors like me to showcase our talents because it is very tough to initially get a break into films. But now, the digital space has become larger than life and gives an opportunity to the untapped talents.”

All credits to his talent and abilities, Akashdeep has added popular shows like Inside Edge, Mirzapur and now Tumse Na Ho Paayega to his portfolio.
