Former Bigg Boss 8 winner Gautam Gulati, recently made his digital debut with Eros original web series ‘Operation Cobra’.

In an exclusive interview Gautam Gulati spoke about 'Operation Cobra', the difference in the mediums, his take on fictional projects and much more.

About Operation Cobra
The show is about a mission where I am playing an agent Karan Singh who is a very fearless and emotional person. It's all about mission, terrorists, guns, bikes, cars and a lot of action, also a pinch of the thrill is added to it. Audiences will surely enjoy the series. I was approached for this project long back, then I met the director and the London team, as the production house is from London. Later, I heard the synopsis and then asked to send the script and the moment I started reading the script I decided to go for it.

Difference between mediums- TV, Films and Digital
Digital shows are shot in a film format, therefore a web series is nothing but a film cut into pieces. Whereas TV is altogether a different medium, it is a space which reaches out to masses due to which actors get more work. I have worked in this space for 7-8 years back to back and it has always been a great experience of working with TV producers. However, after Bigg Boss I thought let me do something different, so did not pick up a TV show. The film business is totally different, one has to struggle to bag a project, even though the person is popular. You can become a star while doing television but you cannot experience the aura of films. I chose to struggle instead of just being called a ‘Popular TV star’.

Daily routine
I believe in working hard, for me, it's never a day off. I have a very strict routine. I also live in London as I have set up a fashion company there. Apart from that, I have joined military training and Taichi training which keeps me going.

Fictional projects
I am ready to a show like MTV The Big F which I had already done earlier where I can host and be myself, talk to people, inspire them, teach as well as learn something from them. Rest everything is struggling and at the end of the day, all you need is a good script and a good team to perform with.

Gautam Gulati was a part of movies like Azhar and Behen Hogi Teri.
