Explaining about her role, Rashami said: “When the role was first described to me, I was blown off by the script. However, at that point in time I didn’t know that it will be offered to me. Later, as the director Nivedita Basu asked me to do this, I immediately accepted and signed it. Palak was an independent, intelligent, beautiful and fearless woman. She had a lot of clarity that what she wanted to do but the circumstances were not in her favour.”

According to reports, the series depicts an incident that took place in 1995, where an ex-Congress youth leader Sushil Kumar Sharma had shot and murdered his wife on suspicion that she was having an extramarital affair with another man. However, Tandoor focus on the publicity the case had gotten, as the trailer depicts public outrage and media craze.

They can overnight you know, give you love big dreams, on the other hand, they can give you the reality check. So the acting has a power of a lot of things. I do not aim to break anything. As an actor, I am trying to explore myself how much more I can do it.”

Many TV and Bollywood actors are been seen doing web series and films on OTT platforms.

“I have always chosen the script and the director. I can't compare television with web series. Both are different kinds of a platform and they have a different viewership, said Rashami Desai, on whether there is pressure to do what is trending to keep one in the limelight.

Sharing about her experience working with Inside Edge actor Tanuj Virwani, Rashami confessed that she was already huge fan of her co-actor.

“I I had never met him before nor did I know him personally. We met for the first time at the workshop for Tandoor but he was already a big name in the different world of cinema. While for me, it was a different and new experience. However, I didn't have to worry at all. He is very hardworking and also gave me so much freedom as an artist. Besides, I got to learn a lot from him as well,” the actress concluded.
