Ace filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt who has given us many successful films over the years will soon be stepping in the digital space with his dramatic web-series. As per reports, Vishesh Films and Jio Studios will be producing this show based on the relationship of a struggling filmmaker and a top actress from the 70s.
Sharing the news, Bhatt took to Twitter to announce the same with a message that read, "A perfect beginning.Happy partnering with @jiostudios on our digital debut! A dramatic web-series based in 70s Bollywood exploring the relationship of a struggling filmmaker and a top actress of that era! The greatest location in the world is the human heart. @VisheshFilms @JioCinema."
Bhatt has earlier made a film in 2006 supposedly based on the life of a Bollywood actress, Parveen Babi, and her battle with schizophrenia and her relationship with Mahesh Bhatt who she loved and was guided as a mentor.
The team at Jio Studios also shared their excitement with a message on Twitter, which read, "Delighted to announce our collaboration with master storytellers @VisheshFilms for web series based on a dramatic love story set in 70s Bollywood that explores the highs and lows of the relationship between a married struggling film maker and a top actress of that time."
More details about the show are yet to be announced.
