After announcing 72 shows in February, and tasting success with recent releases, Zee5 has  now launched the new thriller titled 'Poison.' The show stars Arbaaz Khan, Riya Sen, Tanuj Virwani, Freddy Daruwala and others.

As mentioned, the show is a thriller drama revolving around crime associated with the characters.

Talking about the same, Aparna Achrekar from the OTT platform said, "Zee5 recently announced 72 originals in February, and after announcing some shows, we are excited for this year. There is a show releasing every month and the line up is interesting. Poison is shot in going with popular faces from Bollywood, and it has been directed by Jatin Waghle."

Adding his experience, the director said, "When I was told about the show, it had a lot of spice. The characters were unique and I wanted to make 11 episodes without losing the group, thereby making every episode with some thrilling element. It has good looking, popular stars and I was looking forward to making this big. I have worked with them for the first time and the entire team was supportive. The direction schedule was hectic and the cast understood and trusted me with my vision."

Sharing his thought about his digital debut, Arbaaz Khan said "This is my first association with Zee5. Digital space is growing. We are at the infant stages now in comparison to the west, but there is a long way ahead. It will co-exist with films, and there is an exciting time ahead."

Tanuj Virwani, who plays a pivotal role, said, "I have been a part of the digital show before and with time I have realised that I do not prefer playing a boy next door kind of role, and so I always look for something edgy. When I got this show, I was keen about the character as it has interesting shades."

Poison is an 11-episode series, which will air on Zee5, this month.
