ZEE5 has been consistently premiering Original content during the lockdown to keep the audience entertained. The platform is all set to release yet another original film called ‘Ateet’, a suspense thriller film starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Priyamani Raj and Sanjay Suri on April 21, 2020.
When Captain Ateet Rana (Rajeev Khandelwal) goes missing and is declared dead by the army, his colleague Vishwa Karma (Sanjay Suri) steps forward to marry Ateet’s wife Janvi (Priyamani Raj) and takes care of his daughter. Things take an unexpected turn when Ateet returns after a decade to reclaim his family.
Rajeev Khandelwal will also be seen in ZEE5's upcoming show Naxal, which was announced at the anniversary press conference of the OTT platform. Besides this, the team announced a list of new original shows, films and sequels which are scheduled to stream this year. With an aim to appreciate their talent, it also hosts the High Five on ZEE5 awards each month, where they felicitate talent and the best shows of the platform, based on the data. The event for the month of April was held recently but digitised due to the lockdown.
Ateet is directed by Tanuj Bhramar and premieres on April 21, 2020.
