FYJC Admission row: 76,000 seats available for 'First Come, First Serve' round

Even after carrying out a special round of junior college admissions, many students could not secure admission in colleges. In order to help such students, the education department has asked colleges to carry out 'first come, first serve' round.

The department has asked colleges to declare vacant seats and likewise, a total number of 76,211 seats were declared as vacant, of which 19,152 seats have been reserved for in-house, minority, and management quota.

On August 27, students who have secured 80-100 per cent marks should log in to https://mumbai.11thadmission.net/. After logging in, students will get a profile where they will see an option of 'first come first serve', click on it. After selecting a stream, students will get a list of colleges with a number of vacant seats.

After selecting a college, students will have to click on 'apply now' option and confirm their admission. After doing so, a computerised receipt will appear on the screen. Students will have to take a print out of the receipt and show it to the college while securing admission.
