Last month, there were talks about Mumbai University developing its mobile application. The application has been named Mum e-Suvidha and was inaugurated at Mumbai University (Fort campus) when Pednekar stated the plans for the academic year 2018-19.

The students can access the application by using their 16-digit Permanent Registration Number (PRN) and will have to get the password from their college. In case, if the student forgets his/her password, then he/she will have to go to the University's Digital University website and click on ‘Forgot Password’ after which a new password can be reset.

Alongside, the Department of Information and Technology has developed a 360-degree tour of the Mumbai University campuses at Fort and Kalina which lets the users take a look at the various buildings at the campuses. The virtual tour is available on the university’s website.

On the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Suhas Pednekar appealed to all the colleges to help the flood victims of Kerala through donating any possible amount of money or help in kind. Similarly, he declared that all the Heads of the University have agreed to pay a day’s salary for the relief fund.
