According to reports, after the state board link to access Secondary School Certificate (SSC) results crashed, the website to register for the Common Entrance Test (CET) crashed as well.

However, on Tuesday, July 20, after trying for hours, students managed to access the link and complete their registration. Earlier, the link made available for the SSC results on Friday had crashed which led State Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad to set up a five-member committee to conduct an investigation with regards to the matter.

As per the students who finally had access to the link after hours, the process of registration was eventually a smooth affair. Moreover, several schools in the city helped their students register for the CET. In addition, local guardians are also approaching schools to help students prepare for the CET. With the syllabus for the CET also being released by the state on Monday, schools are asking teachers of English, maths, science and social sciences to help students prepare for the test.

On the other hand, earlier on Wednesday, July 21, the Maharashtra board began the registration process for the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions on the official website.

Moreover, the CET application forms for 2021 will have to be filled in an online mode only. The Maharashtra state education board had earlier decided to conduct the optional Common Entrance Test (CET) for admissions to Class XI, first-year junior college, on August 21 between 11 am to 1 pm.
