Amidst the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the education department on the Maharashtra government has decided. to delay the announcement of SSC (Standard 10) and HSC (Standard 12) Board Examination Results for 2020.
Earlier, these results were expected to release on June 10, 2020. However, due to the lockdown, the assessment of the answer sheets did not go as scheduled. This led to a delay further and as per a recent development, SSC (Standard 10) and HSC (Standard 12) Board Examination Results 2020 will be announced on July 15, 2020.
The decision was taken by the Supreme Court and the verdict stated that the results should be announced by July 15 for both the standards.
On Thursday, June 25, the CBSE and ICSE board examinations were cancelled for Standard 10 and 12 and this brought relief to both students and parents. Officials decided that the students will be marked based on previous grades and internal examinations.
If the students are not happy with the examination results they can opt to sit for the exams once again whenever scheduled at a later date.
Besides this, The state government of Maharashtra recently announced that the final year examinations university students in Maharashtra. The decision was taken as officials noted no possibility in conducting exams due to the coronavirus outbreak. As for the guidelines given by the UGC, admissions for the new academic year will begin soon.
