According to the latest reports, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students’ practical, project and internal assessment for those in grades 10 and 12 will commence from Wednesday, March 2.

It has been reported that pupils of grade 12 will have external examiners appointed by the board. On the other hand, external observers are anticipated to be appointed for practical exams as well as project assessments.

Similarly, practical and project assessments for pupils of grade 10 will be conducted by a school appointed internal examiner. Simultaneously, these marks will be put on the board’s website.

On the other hand, for private candidates, there will not be separate practical, project and internal assessments. For them, marks will be put together on the basis of pro-rata in terms of the scores attained in theory examinations undertaken by the board.

Based on narratives, taking into consideration the COVID-19 protocols, students will be segregated into batches of nearly 20. Apart from this, the practical, project and internal assessments will need to be finished 10 days prior to the date of the last exam.

While a detailed timetable is awaited, the written exams will commence from April 26. Earlier, accounts had remarked that the CBSE will be conducting the term 2 board exams for grades 10 and 12, April 26 onwards in the offline mode at the allotted examination centres.
