On Friday, June 25, the state school education informed that the results of the Class 10 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams will be declared by July 15.

Moreover, as per a government resolution released on Friday, it informed that the optional Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Class 11 First Year Junior College (FYJC) will be conducted. In addition, Maharashtra School Education Minister stated, "The CET which is completely optional will be conducted offline. The exam will be based on Class 10 state-board syllabus with multiple-choice questions (MCQ) for 100 marks. There will be questions for 25 marks each in English, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences subject. The exam will be conducted by OMR method for two hours."

According to reports, the optional CET exam will be open for students of all boards. Meanwhile, state-board students who have already paid the exam fee will not have to pay the fee for CET however, other board students will have to pay the prescribed fee.

On the other hand, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic this year, Secondary School Certificate (SSC) students will not be able to take the revaluation route if they are not satisfied with their marks. Moreover, the results announced by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will be final. According to reports, "Revaluation and photocopies of answer sheets were possible when exams were conducted and marks were tabulated by the board," MSBSHSE secretary Ashok Bhosale informed while speaking to the media.
