Amid the proposal sent by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education to the Maharashtra government proposing offline examinations, Sharad Gosavi, the chairman of the state board stated that the government will decide on the examination mode in a week, stated reports.

They anticipate a reply this week, after which they will proclaim the date sheet for the board examinations. Gosavi mentioned that the board has asked the State Council of Education Research and Training as well as the Directorate of Secondary Education to solve certain issues that the students were facing.

These include pupils who haven’t attained any marks in grades 9 and 11 but were proclaimed promoted according to the state’s order and weren’t able to fill up the SSC and HSC exam forms. Additionally, there has been a demand for the waiver of SSC and HSC examination fees.

Whilst this is being undertaken by certain groups, the state board claims that they haven’t received any letter to such an account, cite narratives. Gosavi added that they are anticipating a solution regarding the inability of schools to fill examination forms of those students who were just “promoted” in grades 9 and 11.

Within two days, they hope to receive an answer from the SCERT and the directorate of secondary education, regarding the same.
