Maharashtra board examinations for grades 10 and 12 may be held in the physical mode in February-March 2022, reported the Times of India. The report quoted the chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dinkar Patil who elaborated that if the coronavirus condition is stable in the coming months, the exams will surely be conducted offline, he stated on Tuesday.

He added, however, that they will also be equipped for the online mode as a Plan B, in order to see to it that pupils don’t face any issues at the end moment. He also elaborated on how they couldn’t take a back seat and wait until a final decision was undertaken.

Additionally, the CBSE, as well as, the CISCE are set to hold their Semester 1 exams in the physical mode in November-December.

Recently, the state school education minister, Varsha Gaikwad had a meeting with teachers, school representatives, members of the task force, as well as, education officials wherein, reports claim that the general consensus was towards physical examinations for the SSC and HSC in February and March. Thus, students have been encouraged to gear up for the probable offline examinations.

For the previous two exams, students were assessed based on their internal marks, owing to the pandemic. According to the account, Patil stated that the provisional exam timetable will be proclaimed post the Diwali holidays.
