College students now will get an extra day to apply for first-year junior college (FYJC) admissions. They will be able to submit their online applications till 5 pm on 29 June Thursday. Along with this, students will get to make corrections in their forms on 1 and 3 July, before the first merit list which is scheduled on 7 July.
The state education department took this decision owing to the technical snag faced by students while applying for FYJC admissions online. The website was also kept shut for repairs yet students faced problem while uploading their details.

Arts – 94% to 80%
Commerce – 94% to 89%
Science – 93.2% to 91%
